30. Events...

We attending a wedding show in Andover today... okay... I didnt sell much, but I love setting it all up, and chatting to people about my shop and my stock... and we met some lovely ladies :-)
Looking forward to more shows over the next few months...

29. Home Made Pie

I baked! A Pie! Cherry Bakewell type thing with fresh cherries for Graeme!
And he liked it! Result!

28. Wine by The Fire

So, we took Kirsty Marie to the pub for dinner and we decided to share a bottle of vino!
We think they keep their red wine in the cellar as it's sooooo cold brrrr!!!

I dont mind it cold, but Kirsty did! So we warmed it by an open fire hehe!
(sorry about the scary lady in the fire!!)

27. Surprise Gifts!

We've had my good friend Jess over to stay for over a week and she left today while I was out, but I came home to find a lovely card with such thoughtful words and a bottle of bubbly!
Awwww.... thanks Jess!!

26. Mr Tickle & Graeme Stretch!

I think most people know Graeme Stretch but he now lives in my kitchen with Mr Tickle (my Christmas pressie from Graeme - Trott not Stretch - because he thinks I have long arms like Mr Tickle!)
Anyway -both make me smile everytime I'm in the kitchen! Yay!

25. Winning Stuff!

I won Net-Model's Stylist of the Year for 2010 with my store Nikita Sablier and my wardrobe styling days!
Yay!!

24. Polkadotty Cufflinks

Graeme has a job interview today, I chose these cufflinks for him to buy when we were shopping yesterday in the hope that they are lucky! Fingers crossed!

22. Windmills!

If Graeme gets his job in Essex, we want to live in a gorgeous windmill! So we went to see it and the area, then I found a mural of the windmill on a wall somewhere nearby!
I want to recreate this photo if we get it!!

21. Chipotle

On our way to the London social, Graeme and I saw this sign - it made us giggle like schoolkids as it reminds us of a SouthPark episode! ;-)

20. Pub Cheerfulness!

It seems like our local pub is copying my idea and have produced "16 reasons to be cheerful" book with jokes and offers! ;-)
Jess found it when we took her for dinner tonight and it was reeeeallly bad jokes but still made us all smile!

19. Pretty Skies

I left the house very early this morning for a photoshoot but the sunrise had turned the sky a gorgeous shade of red... and that made me smile!

 

18. Clowns!!!!

I'm sure everyone loves clowns - but when they are friends too, and we've spent a day modelling as clowns together, it makes me smile even more!! Yay!!!

17, My Badges!

I have a cute little bag that I rarely use but found when I was tidying up that I pin badges too - usually badges that remind me of various events and people, but some are just because they are cute and i liked them! 
I need more badges...! :-)

16. My Own Bed!!!

I've had a lovely time at Team Binkertson HQ with the lovely Binky, Adam, Stefano and the doggys but there's nothing like coming home to your own bed.... mmmmmm....

 

15. My Ring....

I'm at Bink's, I'm missing G, but I get to go home tomorrow yay!
Graeme bought me this ring (no it's not an engagement ring lol) shortly after we first met, and it always makes me smile!
Oh and my nails were painted by Binky too which is also very nice hehehe....

14. My Bra as a Double Hat!!!

I like making people wear my bra on their head like a hat... but it's even cuter when it's a double-hat for two friends!!!!
I might make this into another blog project - maybe for next year- see how many people I can get wearing my bra cup as a hat! ;-)

13. Miniature Hats!!

I ordered some new pretty hats from one of my suppliers for the shops - they were quite cheap so wasnt expecting them to be too big or fancy... but they are teeny and sooooo cute!
I took one along to style with Bink at her place, but I think they are too small even for that lol....
Still - they make me smile!!
(have added a kirby grip alongside the hat to show how small they are!)

12. Puppy-Gorgeousness!

This is Major... I love him! He is Binky and Adam's new puppy! Yay!

He likes to sit on my boobies like a shelf but he hates posing for photos lol....

This photo also makes me look like I have a puppy face - which also makes me smile!

11. A Nice Cup of Tea

After getting home quite late from a night out, there's nothing like a nice cup of tea in bed!
(Plus I also love my Pig Mugs - they remind me of fun times at the seaside in the arcades!!)

9. Sentimental Jewellery

I'm in the middle of a mass clear-out of the house - think we may need a skip by the end of it!!

Anyway, while sorting through, I came across lots of old jewellery boxes and pieces in drawers - that all have lovely memories! Here's a few pieces that include my first ever bracelets as a child (one has my name on if pic is clear enough!), rings I used to always wear but can't fit on now, lockets, pieces that my Mum gave me, pieces I've inherited that used to belong to Graeme's Mum (ballerina brooch is probably my favourite), jewellery that Graeme bought me when we first met but that are now a little tarnished...
There's so much more than this, but memories are always nice for bringing a smile to ones face!

Do I remember correctly that soaking these things in coke will make them shiny again? 

8. Fortune Cookies!

Simple but fun - I love reading fortune cookies and reading whatever I like into the randomness of it all hehe!

I particularly like the rainbow that appeared when I shot this, not sure why, but I'm not going to disbelieve it wasn't magic (my fortune cookie told me not to!)

7. Fluffy Slippers...

I decided to go out today looking all girly and 50s-ish (as I often do!) in a skirt and sneakers... Partly as I was meeting another friend for lunch and partly as Graeme was taking me to see a new TV show being filmed in the evening with Catherine Tate, Shaun Ryder and Al Murray!


But... it rained... a lot... and it turns out my sneakers are a little old now(and now in the bin!!) and all the rain seeped through, and my feet got absolutely drenched.
I had no other option but to spend all day with soggy stockings and soaking wet feet.

When it came time to meet Graeme for the show, we queued up (as you must as these things due to them oversubscribing to make sure all the seats get filled) for about 2hours... outside... in the rain... :-(
My poor feet started to freeze because I wasnt walking around much, AND we didnt get in to see the show (we missed out by about 4 people in front - SO close!)


Anyways, we decided instead to go back to our friend's house for Playstation 3 Buzz Games, Fish & Chips (Very naughty I know, sorry diet!) and Vodka! Yum!


Best of all - Jackie loaned me her pink fluffy slippers to warm up my poor wet icy feet! YAY!!! That made me smile - a lot! :-)

6. Indulgent Hot Butter Fudge Bubble Bath

I do like a nice bubble bath... and I got give these gorgeously sweet smelling bath syrups for Christmas (the pack also includes Gingerbread Latte, Angel Food Cake and Chocolate Orange Cake!) Yum!

I also threw in some bath salts for good measure too... and swished it up lots for more bubbles!

Perfectly followed by an early night in a freshly made bed! How relaxing!

5. Mmmm.... Naughty Wine!

Well I've decided that drinking (at least!) half a bottle of wine at home, pretty much every evening, is not helping my waistline!
So for the last week, I've had none.

I decided it would be too cruel to myself not to have one (or three oops...) when I go out though! So tonight, wine makes me smile! hehehe....

4. New Shoes Always Make Me Smile!

Graeme and I went Sales Shopping just after Christmas and I fell in love with a pair of shoes in the window which were reduced from £90 or £100 down to £20... I went in, and they didnt have my size but the lady behind the counter was so lovely - she rang round several other branches of the shop, until she found someone who had my size, then ordered them for me to be delivered to my house... and still at their sale price! 
Now that's lovely customer service - despite it being really busy with all the post Christmas rush!

Well, anyway - Mr Postie brought me my new shoes this morning! They are so pretty look! They'll always make me smile for 2 reasons - because they are beautiful and because of the lovely shop assistant!

3. Yummy Healthy Berry Desserty Goodness!

Most of my friends know I'm on a health kick for 2011, so I'm trying to think up ways to eat things that are tasty but still good for me!

This pudding consists of a small layer of low fat vanilla icecream, then a blended layer of raspberries, blueberries and natural yoghurt layered with more fresh blueberries and raspberries and a little more icecream on top (plus a slightly naughty square of dark chocolate grated on the top!)

2. Yummidough Biscuits!

I spent the morning of the 2nd January making homemade biscuits with Claire's daughter Abi.
It was made with a powder that you mix with water, mold like play-doh and cut into shapes and bake...
Sadly, as fun as it was to play with, it also tasted like play-doh... yuk!
Here's our efforts though!! 

1. OCD Quality Street Divisions!

Well - it's New Year's Day - and I didnt wake up until about 4pm (oops! Great night though!) so my window for finding smiles was much shorter than ordinary days...
But, this did actually make me smile, when I saw my good friend Claire's son re-arranging the Quality Street tin until all the colours were neatly seperated! Looked rather odd... yet satisfyingly neat!
